What should you ask a decorator?
- Can I see photos of your own recent work? Check that the photos are real setups, not images copied from elsewhere.
- What does the price include? Ask about the backdrop, balloons, props, lights and transport.
- When will you arrive to set up, and how long will it take? Agree the time before the guests arrive.
- Can you customize names, ages and colours? Check that custom names are in the price.
- What happens if I change the theme or the date? Ask for the change policy before you pay.
- Do you handle extras such as kids rides and food stalls? One team is easier than coordinating several vendors.
- How do I reach you on the day? Keep a phone number or WhatsApp chat open.
How can you compare two decorators?
Ask both for a quote for the same date, venue and theme. Compare what each includes, not only the total. A lower price that leaves out props or lights may cost more in the end.
